Meet Your Instructors!
Megan Lange has been dancing her entire life. As a child, she studied tap and jazz/lyrical at the Academy of Dance Arts in Lenoir City, TN. As she grew up, Megan stepped out of the dancing world to focus on vocal performance and jazz music; however, the winter of 2015 changed that entirely.
In January of 2015, Megan took her first Lindy Hop lesson from the Knoxville Swing Dance Association. Over the course of the next three years, Megan attended dozens of workshop weekends and dance exchanges, where she studied under instructors from all over the world.
In her spare time, Megan leads a vintage swing band called Megan and her Goody Goodies and is a member of the Swing Dance Nashville board. Additionally, she works full-time as the special events coordinator at CenterStage Events Venue in Gallatin, TN.
Although her favorite dance is balboa, Megan is passionate about sharing the craft of Lindy Hop, and cannot wait to introduce social dancing to the Sumner County area! If you see her on the dance floor, be sure to ask her for a dance!

Matt began swing dancing 17 years ago, in his hometown of Fairbanks, Alaska! He learned Lindy Hop, in addition to other styles, and quickly fell in love with partnership dancing.
In the decade and a half since, Matt has branched out to many other dance and music disciplines, and toured around the world performing and teaching children and adults before moving here to Sumner County. He is excited to bring his experience and love of dancing to Sumner County Swing Dance!
